Brief Details of West Bengal Forest Guard Examination 2017 / Selection Process
As per notification of West Bengal Forest Guard Recruitment, candidate will be select for Forest Guard vacancy on the basis of Written Examination, Physical Standard & Physical Efficiency Test, Personality Test and Medical Examination. Those candidate who qualify in written examination should have appear for PST/ PET, Personality Test and Medical Exam. The written examination will consist Objective Type question of Multiple Choice. Question will be ask from General Awareness and General Knowledge, English, Elementary Mathematics, and Reasoning.
- The question paper will carry 90 marks.
- Each question will carry 01 mark.
- There will be a negative marking for each wrong answer.
- Duration of paper will be 01 hour.

Physical Standard Test & Physical Efficiency Details : On the basis of result of West Bengal Forest Guard Examination candidate will be called for Physical Standard followed by Physical Efficiency Test :
Physical Standard Test (PST) : Height Measurement
Physical Efficiency Test (PET) : Race
- For Male : 25 kilometer walk within 4 hours.
- For Female : 16 kilometer walk within 4 hours.
Personality Test : After qualify the Physical Standard Test & Physical Efficiency (PST/ PET) candidate will be called for Personality Test. In the personality test, general awareness and suitability of candidate for public service will be tested. It will be held at the venue that will be decided by West Bengal Recruitment Board.
Medical Exam : Candidate must have sound hearing faculty, eye sight and general fitness for undertaking arduous outdoor works in the Forest Directorate. In case of defective vision, it must be corrected to at least 6/9 in the better eye and 6/12 in the other eye but the candidate must not suffer from colour blindness or congenital or other diseases of the eye.
